About Team

The MW Crusaders 18u Purple travel softball team is comprised mostly of high school Juniors from the Monroe-Woodbury, NY school district. This team had a great showing last year on the showcase circuit, beating many second year 18u teams, when this team was still first year 16u eligible. There are 3 strong pitchers who have several colleges already indicating interest, as well as a strong roster of versitle players who can comfortably play 2-3 positions each. The MW Crusaders 18u Purple is a hitting team, allowing very few strikeouts, and practices aggressive base running.
Additionally, the players on the team have great academic records, with most players on the honor roll and taking AP level classes.
